ELDERLY POVERTY: A Project I'm Researching

If you run across this blog, I'm working on a project collecting facts and anecdotes about the rising rates of senior citizens living in poverty in the US.  It's a real shocker of a problem.  As much as our society and government try to keep this demographic group invisible, it's getting harder to do.

People live longer, ladies live longer than their husbands, and pensions stop when husbands die or a small remainder death benefit might continue for the widow.
